The Ernesto Illy Foundation is a corporate foundation, an expression of the entrepreneurial family, which carries out philanthropic activities in addition to the sustainable business model of the founding company, according to the principles of the stakeholder company and the benefit company.
Ethics is its founding value, in its sense of respect for Humans and the Environment, with a sense of responsibility towards future generations.
The Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by illycaffè S.p.A, is led by Anna Illy, Ernesto’s daughter, who for many years was his closest collaborator and accompanied him on his lifelong journey in search of quality coffee.
Anna Rossi Illy is the Honorary President, wife of the late Ernesto, while the vice presidency has been entrusted to Maurizio Dallocchio with Andrea, Francesco and Daria Illy as members of the Board of Directors. Furio Suggi Liverani is a member of the Board of Directors as well as the Director of the Foundation. Giovanna Gregori coordinates and follows all institutional and communication activities.
MASTER’S DEGREE IN COFFEE ECONOMICS AND SCIENCE ERNESTO ILLY
Among the most significant projects of the Foundation, the Master is an accredited, graduate level course of study in coffee, from agronomy through business management, aimed at developing the next generation of industry leadersfrom coffee producing countries. Developed in collaboration with the University of Udine and Trieste, SISSA, The Trieste Coffee District and the Consortium for Molecular Biomedicine.
